Cowork – Collaborate – Create

Coastline Colab is a not-for-profit coworking space created for and by the community it serves. Based in the qathet region (Powell River, BC) we seek to lower the barriers for aspiring entrepreneurs, contractors, change makers, and remote workers by offering a shared working space, networking opportunities, business incubation programming, and other entrepreneurial support services and training.

We feel that work is about people and ideas and that the spaces we work in should be in support of both. Our coworking space offers a professional yet relaxed office environment that reflects the beauty of our surrounding coast and forests – openness, high ceilings, natural wood, light, good ventilation and comfort.

The space consists of individual work stations with ergonomic office chairs, access to a shared meeting room, a stocked kitchenette, and lounge area.

Coastline Colab is also the home to the Powell River Entrepreneurial Ecosystem Development (EED) program – a cluster of entrepreneurial support services and training opportunities with a focus on ideation, business planning and incubation services for members and the public alike.

Our Amenities

• Desk Space
  All desks are paired with ergonomic office chairs. Each station includes electrical outlets for your personal laptop and/or monitor. We have storage space available for you to keep personal screens overnight – they may be left at your work space only with a Permanent Desk membership. Hot Desks and Permanent Desks are available on a monthly membership basis.
• Meeting Room
  Our meeting room can fit 4-6 people comfortably and includes a wall-mounted tv monitor, camera for off-site team meetings, and large whiteboard. This space is first come, first served for members daily while coworking, unless pre-booked. Non-members are also able to rent and reserve this space by reaching out to Colab staff.
• B&W Printing
  Connect wirelessly through bluetooth with our printer to print basic black and white. Cost per page is $0.20.
• Fibre Optic WiFi
  We provide a secured internet connection using enterprise fibre optic. Connection is available via wifi only.
• Accessibility
  Our space is located on the 2nd floor, which can be accessed via a wheelchair accessible elevator or stairs. The main doors are also equipped with automatic door openers, and accessible bathrooms are located just down the hall from the Colab.
• Kitchenette
  We have a fully functioning kitchenette with a small fridge, multi-function toaster oven, electric kettle, drip coffee machine, Aeropress, and complimentary tea and coffee.
• After-Hours Programming Space
  Our programming space offers seating for up to 12 people around a shared working table in the open office environment. A wall mounted TV screen and camera offers off-site instruction to participants via Zoom or similar setup.
